Shahid Afridi Lead Pakistan World Cup Squad

At last Shahid Afridi became the captain of Pakistan team. There is a long debate who will lead the World Cup - Misbah-ul-Haq or Shahid Afridi. Misbah-ul-Haq is the test captain. Afridi named as the captain of World Cup team & Misbah was named vice-captain of the World Cup squad.


Recwently Misbah lead test team against New Zealand & Afridi is leading the One Day squad. Pakistan is the only World Cup team who took time to declare captain.

PCB chairman Ijaz Butt said,"I had detailed discussions with team management and players in New Zealand regarding captain and vice captain and am pleased to state that everyone fully endorsed these decisions."


Pakistan won the recent series by 3-2 against New Zealand
