Indian World Cup Squad will be Declared on 17th Jan

Indian Cricket Board Officials said,"The selection committee is to pick the World Cup squad on the 17th at Chennai."

The selection panel, Krishnamachari Srikkanth said that they had declared preliminary squad of 30 members for the World Cup 2011. Now its time to select 15 member squad before 19 Jan.


2011 World Cup Cricket World Cup will played for 43 days. India would be hosting 29 matches at eight venues. Bangladesh will host 8 matches including inaugural ceremony & opening match & quarter final & Sri Lanka will host rest of the matches.


India will play in Group B. Other teams are Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland and Netherlands.


India and Bangladesh will play inagural match at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
